Throughout his illustrious career, master drummer and world music pioneer Gurtu has stood at the confluence of where Indian classical music, Western jazz and funk, African music, and Brazilian music meet. It's been part of his modus operandi for five decades - making music that defies easy categorization. On God Is A Drummer, his 20th recording as a leader, the uncommonly open-minded musician pays tribute to some fallen colleagues and role models who have guided and inspired him along the way. Leading his dynamic, Hamburg-based group of trumpeter Frederik Köster, trombonist Christophe Schweizer, Turkish-born keyboardist Sabri Tulug Tirpan, and electric bassist Jonathan Cuniado, Gurtu acknowledges the impact that legends like keyboardist and Weather Report co-founder Joe Zawinul, Brazilian percussionist Nana Vasconcelos, jazz drumming great Tony Williams, and his mother, the Indian classical singing star Shobha Gurtu, have made on his musical life. Dedicated to his own guru, Ranjit Maharaj, God Is A Drummer is a stunning showcase of matchless precision, dazzling solos, passionate vocals, percolating rhythms, and deep-rooted grooves. Regarding the title, the leader says, "I named it that because without the drummer, nothing will move. And without movement, the world will stop. The Earth rotates, which is movement. The waves in the ocean, the leaves falling from trees, people talking to each other?it's all movement, it's rhythm, it's energy. So, with every movement, I say, god is a drummer." Powerful and silent!

Wow, call me impressed! I just got the rechargeable version in blue and it's gorgeous! The metal shaft is thick, high quality and long enough to reach the bottom of a tall mug. And the double whip end works like magic. I had a cheaper frother (another brand) and this one blows it away! I couldn't even get much of a froth with my other one and having to hold the button the whole time was annoying. One press of this button and my milk was frothed in seconds. I didn't even use the higher setting! My morning latte is very happy.

2 speeds, easy to change back and forth to different speeds with one click , easily blends 1/4 cup protein powder in 12 oz milk on low speed. Easy to clean: Stick blending wand in tall glass with warm water + dish soap, turn on low speed to clean easily (don’t stick the part that holds the battery in glass). Also of note, chosen by Americas Test Kitchen as best milk frother but I use it to make protein shakes.

Works great on bullet coffee!!

I am really pleased with this frother! Frothers I have used in the past didn’t mix my decaf coffee, 2% milk, and MCT oil as thoroughly as I like (oil and coffee separated). This frother blends everything AND I get a nice layer of frothy milk on top!!! Charge lasts a long and the froth can be submerged all the way up to the button!!!

A product that will make a difference!

These king-size pillows are incredibly comfortable and supportive. They are soft enough to feel luxurious, yet they provide great support for my head and neck throughout the night. The king size is perfect for a larger bed and gives the bed a full, hotel-like appearance. The pillows keep their shape well and fluff up nicely after use. I've been sleeping much better since getting them and would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for quality, comfortable pillows.
